An early Plains rifle buttplate, for a fullstock or halfstock percussion rifle with a large butt. Such a rifle would often have a brass or silver patchbox or capbox.Available in sand cast brass or nickel silver.Overall length is 5-1/4″, width 1-3/8″, comb 3-7/16″.
