The M16 folder was designed by custom knifemaker Kit Carson and we are told that the many variations of that knife, after many years of production, are still CRKT’s best selling knives. Kit designed the M21™ based on the M16, but added a new blade shape with a deeper belly. Knives in the M16 series have been built using several different handle materials including stainless steel, Zytel and carbon fiber. The handles for this version of the M21 are made of stainless steel with a classic black oxide, corrosion resistant finish. The M21™-10KSF is designed for hard use as an everyday carry knife.
The powerful 3-1⁄8″ deep-bellied spear point blade is 8Cr13MoV at 56-58 Rc. with a black oxide coating. Dual Carson Flippers make deployment quick and convenient, and the flippers double as an effective blade guard in the open position, a true “dual hilt” – a rarity in folding knives. The locking system is the traditional frame lock.
Ships with a removable/reversible Teflon plated stainless steel pocket clip positioned for tip down carry. Measures 4″ closed. Weighs 2.9 oz. Made in China. 99.
