Description
This is a .30-06 standard barrel from a 1946 Model 70 rifle.
Bluing – 85% – The visible portions of this stock generally have a very good finish, but there is substantial bluing loss under the stock line.
Metal – There a few scratches along the top of the barrel, each 3/8″-1/2″ long. There is freckling associated with the bluing loss that is under the stock line. There are no deeps dings or gouges.
Bore – 9/10 – With almost no throat wear but some pitting, the bore rates a 9 out of 10 under borescope examination.
