Strawberry Alpine

Description

Alpine strawberries are hardy, evergreen plants. They grow into a leafy mound and are very ornamental. They produce small red strawberries during the summer. They are suitable for window-boxes, containers, hanging-baskets or the garden border.

Height and Spread: 0.5 x 1m

Position in full sun, though will they take some shade if very hot.

Plant in very fertile and well-drained soil.

Flowering season: Spring

Harvesting season: summer
