Scabbard set 7 – IHS

Description

Scabbard fittings based on those of the Dennington Effigy, so suitable for around the year 1400. These belonged to a relatively affulent Knight and were fitted to a longsword, shown veritcally as they so often were. Cast in bronze with the IHS monogram. Top of the throat fitting is set up to accept a triangular rain flap.

147mm high, internal dimensions at opening 30mm x 15.5mm
