Description
This is a standard receiver from a 1947 Model 70 rifle, stamped with the serial number 60474. This was one of the very last “pre-war” receivers produced. At around serial number 60500, production of the “transition” style began.
Bluing – Most of the bluing is dark and even, but with very light wear in the tang and on the rails. There are a few scratches in the finish that do not affect the metal.
Metal – Overall, the metal of this receiver is in excellent condition with no notable dings, scratches, pitting or other damage.
