The Hornady GMX bullet is a monolithic bullet of a copper alloy. Depending on the bullet a polymer tip maybe part of the design otherwise the flat point tip.. The designed with a cannelure and pressure relieving grooves and less bearing surface provided potentially less fouling. GMX bullets retain on average close to 95% of their weight providing energy transfer and aiding in expansion upon impact. Hornady GMX bullets quality for use in areas with restrictions on the use of traditional lead core bullets.
