Description

Hawke Vantage SF 6-24×44 Product description

  • 24× Maximum Magnification with Side Focus Parallax: The 6–24× magnification range provides a 4× zoom ratio with a 24× upper end — the highest magnification in the Vantage SF lineup — suited to varminting, precision target shooting, and benchrest use where extended-range image detail is the priority. The side-mounted parallax knob covers 14 metres to infinity, enabling precise parallax correction from the firing position at the higher magnification levels where parallax error has the most impact on accuracy.
  • Half Mil Dot Reticle for Precision Holdover at Distance: The Half Mil Dot reticle provides mil dots at half-MRAD spacing — twice the density of a standard Mil Dot — offering finer holdover reference points and more precise ranging capability. At the upper magnification levels this scope provides, the denser dot spacing is a practical advantage for estimating range and applying holdovers with greater accuracy.
  • H2 Optical System with 44mm Objective: The H2 optical system with 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses delivers consistent light transmission and a clear image across the magnification range. The 44mm objective keeps the scope profile compact and minimises the need for high mounts, while the exit pupil of 7.3 mm at 6× provides adequate image brightness at minimum magnification in typical field conditions.
  • Compact for a 6–24× Side Focus Model: At 373 mm in length and 531 g, the scope is well proportioned for a non-illuminated side-focus 6–24× on a 1-inch tube, remaining practical for field use without the weight penalty associated with larger-tube precision optics in this magnification class.
  • Capped Low-Profile Turrets: The capped, low-profile, resettable turrets provide 50 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment in ¼ MOA click increments, protecting the zero from accidental movement during carry — appropriate for a scope primarily used for varminting and target shooting where zeroing is done at the range.

About the Vantage Series

The Hawke Vantage series is the broadest riflescope lineup in Hawke’s product range, built on the H2 optical system and covering a wide variety of tube diameters, magnification ranges, and reticle configurations at an accessible price point. The range is designed for hunters, target shooters, and recreational shooters who require a reliable, versatile optic without the cost associated with higher-tier optical systems.

All Vantage models feature 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses delivering consistent light transmission across the magnification range. The lineup spans standard 1-inch, 30mm, and 34mm mono-tube chassis, covering first and second focal plane optics, adjustable objective, side focus, and fixed parallax variants, illuminated and non-illuminated reticles, and a broad selection of reticle designs. The Vantage SF sub-series provides side-mounted parallax adjustment in a non-illuminated 1-inch package, available across three magnification configurations — 3-12×44, 4-16×44, and 6-24×44 — all using the same Half Mil Dot reticle and consistent optical and mechanical design.

About the Model (Hawke Vantage SF 6-24×44 Half Mil Dot)

The Hawke Vantage SF 6-24×44 Half Mil Dot is the highest-magnification model in the Vantage SF lineup, designed for varminting, precision target shooting, and benchrest use where maximum image scale and accurate half-MRAD holdover references are required in a compact, non-illuminated 1-inch package. The 6–24× magnification range with a 4× zoom ratio provides a field of view of 5.1 metres at 100 metres at minimum power and a 24× upper end for the image resolution needed for precise shot placement and target reading at extended distances.

The 44mm objective lens, combined with the H2 optical system and 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses, delivers consistent light transmission and a clear image across the magnification range. An exit pupil of 7.3 mm at 6× provides adequate image brightness at minimum magnification in typical shooting conditions. The 90mm of eye relief is compatible with a range of centrefire and rimfire platforms.

The Half Mil Dot reticle provides mil dots at half-MRAD spacing, offering finer holdover reference points and more precise ranging at the distances this scope’s 24× maximum magnification makes accessible. The side-mounted parallax knob corrects parallax from 14 metres to infinity. The capped, low-profile, resettable turrets provide 50 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment in ¼ MOA click increments. The fast-focus eyebell allows rapid dioptre adjustment. The mono-tube is nitrogen purged and fully sealed, providing waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance rated for all calibres. Overall length is 373 mm and weight is 531 g.

About Hawke

Hawke Optics is a British optics brand registered in England and Wales, with products distributed across Europe, North America, and international markets. The company produces a broad range of optical products including riflescopes, airgun scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, red dot sights, and laser rangefinders, covering applications from hunting and precision shooting to nature observation and marine use.

Hawke organises its riflescope lineup into distinct optical system tiers — from the entry-level H2 through H5 to the flagship H7 — with each tier reflecting the glass specification, coating technology, and mechanical feature level of the products within it. The Vantage series is built on the H2 system, representing the entry level of Hawke’s riflescope range and providing an extensive selection of configurations at an accessible price point.
