Description

Hawke Vantage IR 2-7×32 AO Product description

  • Adjustable Objective Parallax from 5 Metres: The adjustable objective (AO) ring corrects parallax from just 5 metres to infinity — one of the closest parallax settings available on any variable riflescope. This makes the scope particularly well suited to airgun shooting, rimfire, and close-range applications where accurate parallax correction at short distances is essential for precision shot placement.
  • Illuminated Mil Dot Reticle in Red and Green: The Mil Dot IR reticle provides evenly spaced mil dots for holdovers, wind corrections, and rough ranging. It is illuminated in red and green across 5 brightness levels with off positions between each step, allowing the shooter to select the colour and intensity that best contrasts with the current target and ambient light conditions.
  • Compact and Lightweight 1-Inch Build: At 292 mm in length and 450 g, the scope is notably compact and light for a 2–7×32 illuminated model with AO parallax. The standard 1-inch tube ensures broad compatibility with widely available ring mounts across all price points, including those commonly found on airgun, rimfire, and entry-level centrefire platforms.
  • Wide Field of View at Minimum Magnification: At , the scope delivers a field of view of 15.5 metres at 100 metres — broad for a scope in this class — supporting fast target acquisition and situational awareness at close range before the shooter increases magnification for the shot.
  • Capped Low-Profile Turrets with 140 MOA Adjustment: The capped, low-profile, resettable turrets provide 140 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment in ¼ MOA click increments, protecting the zero from accidental movement during carry and handling while providing a generous adjustment range suitable for a wide variety of mounting heights and calibres.

About the Vantage Series

The Hawke Vantage series is the broadest riflescope lineup in Hawke’s product range, built on the H2 optical system and covering a wide variety of tube diameters, magnification ranges, and reticle configurations at an accessible price point. The range is designed for hunters, target shooters, and recreational shooters who require a reliable, versatile optic without the cost associated with higher-tier optical systems.

All Vantage models feature 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses delivering consistent light transmission and a wide-angle field of view. The lineup spans standard 1-inch, 30mm, and 34mm mono-tube chassis, covering first and second focal plane optics, adjustable objective and side focus parallax variants, illuminated and non-illuminated reticles, and a broad selection of reticle designs. The Vantage IR AO sub-series uses a 1-inch tube with an adjustable objective parallax ring and capped, low-profile turrets, providing a compact and lightweight illuminated riflescope platform across a range of magnification configurations and reticle options.

About the Model (Hawke Vantage IR 2-7×32 AO Mil Dot IR)

The Hawke Vantage IR 2-7×32 AO Mil Dot IR is a compact, lightweight illuminated riflescope designed for airgun shooting, rimfire, and close-range hunting applications where an adjustable objective parallax correction from very short distances is a practical requirement. The 2–7× magnification range provides a 3.5× zoom ratio with a field of view of 15.5 metres at 100 metres at minimum power, and a 7× upper end that is well suited to the typical engagement distances of airgun and rimfire shooting.

The 32mm objective lens, combined with the H2 optical system and 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses, delivers a clear, bright image across the magnification range. An exit pupil of 16 mm at 2× supports a bright sight picture at low power in reduced light conditions. The 90mm of eye relief is compatible with a range of airgun, rimfire, and centrefire platforms.

The Mil Dot IR reticle provides evenly spaced mil dots for holdover estimation, wind corrections, and rough ranging. The reticle is illuminated in red and green with 5 brightness levels and off positions between each step. The AO parallax ring corrects parallax from 5 metres to infinity, enabling precise parallax elimination at the close distances typical of airgun target shooting and close-range rimfire use. The capped, low-profile, resettable turrets offer 140 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment in ¼ MOA click increments. The fast-focus eyebell allows rapid dioptre adjustment. The mono-tube is nitrogen purged and fully sealed, providing waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance rated for all calibres. Overall length is 292 mm and weight is 450 g.

About Hawke

Hawke Optics is a British optics brand registered in England and Wales, with products distributed across Europe, North America, and international markets. The company produces a broad range of optical products including riflescopes, airgun scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, red dot sights, and laser rangefinders, covering applications from hunting and precision shooting to nature observation and marine use.

Hawke organises its riflescope lineup into distinct optical system tiers — from the entry-level H2 through H5 to the flagship H7 — with each tier reflecting the glass specification, coating technology, and mechanical feature level of the products within it. The Vantage series is built on the H2 system, representing the entry level of Hawke’s riflescope range and providing an extensive selection of configurations at an accessible price point.
