Description
The GiantMouse GMF1 Fixed Blade is built around a simple idea: deliver true fixed-blade capability in a compact form that carries as easily as a folder. Designed by Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes, this knife focuses on real-world usability, clean ergonomics, and a size that disappears in your pocket until it’s needed. It’s a purpose-driven EDC fixed blade that doesn’t waste space or weight, yet still delivers full cutting confidence.
The 2.4-inch blade is crafted from Böhler N690 stainless steel, a proven performance steel known for corrosion resistance, edge stability, and reliable toughness in everyday use. Heat treated to approximately 60 HRC, it strikes a strong balance between edge retention and ease of maintenance. The stonewashed finish helps mask wear over time while adding a refined, low-reflective look that fits both field and urban environments. With a 0.157-inch thickness, the blade feels substantial without becoming bulky, giving you strength where it counts without unnecessary weight.
The ergonomics of the GMF1 are where it really stands out. The 2.8-inch handle is shaped for a natural, secure grip, allowing the knife to feel larger in hand than its compact footprint suggests. At just 5.2 inches overall and weighing only 2.0 ounces, it’s designed for carry comfort first, without sacrificing control or cutting authority. It’s the kind of fixed blade that challenges traditional folders for pocket time because it carries so easily and disappears so naturally.
Each GMF1 includes a handcrafted brown leather sheath made in Italy, designed specifically for this model by Anso and Vox. The sheath is molded for a secure fit and smooth draw, adding a touch of craftsmanship that complements the knife’s minimalist design. It’s built to ride comfortably on the belt or in the pocket, making daily carry simple and consistent.
From utility tasks to everyday cutting needs, the GMF1 delivers a refined balance of size, performance, and carry comfort. It’s a compact fixed blade that feels intentional in every detail, made for those who want strength without excess and design without compromise.
