Description
Designed by Ryan Johnson
CRKT produces Ryan Johnson’s T-Hawks that he designs sometimes to be used in the woods and sometimes in a tactical situation. Ryan has been designing Tomahawks for over twenty-four years and his handmade versions have become a mainstay in the military community. Ryan and CRKT have worked together to produce high quality tools that are also very afforable.
The head for the Woods Kangee is hot forged from a single piece of 1055 carbon steel (not stainless) at 50-55 Rc., creating a solid head with a hammer finish. The primary and secondary edge bevels are flat ground to cut through timber. You will find multiple uses for the spike besides breaking through doors. The thick Tennessee hickory handle is comfortable in the hand and sealed with a lacquer coat that adds durability. Measures 19-1/8″ overall with a 3-1⁄4″ cutting edge. Weighs 2 lbs. 1.2 oz. Assembled in Taiwan. 99.
CRKT is changing the packaging on the T-Hawks. They will now come unassembled, with the head not attached to the wood handle. This will allow you to get your own custom fit on the head, use the video below to learn how to seat the head.
