The Linchpin™ is a no-nonsense everyday carry design from Flavio Ikoma. The defining feature is the Deadbolt™ mechanism. This lock design employs two steel bolts that pass through the blade and steel linings for a vault-like lock. CRKT tells us that when testing the lock in the first production using this mechanism, the blade broke before the lock failed! Unlocking is safely, and easily, achieved with a light press on the large button at the pivot. A clever user-adjustable ball detent holds the blade securely closed. Easily opened using the flipper or the thumbstud on either side of the blade.
The 3-3/4″ modified sheepsfoot blade is 1.4116 stainless steel at 55-57 Rc. with either a plain edge satin finish blade or a black PVD coated blade with Veff Serrations. Glass-reinforced nylon handle scales over stainless steel liners. IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system. Reversible pocket clip for tip-up carry. Measures 5-1/8″ closed. Weighs 6.2 to 6.9 oz.
