Axe of the Crusades

Description

This stout weapon features a large, sharpened blade pierced with a cross. The blade is riveted to the hardwood shaft and has langets for extra support. The grip has been smoothed and wrapped with smooth black leather. All metal parts have been blackened, including the hanging rings at the bottom. Made by the master smiths of Windlass Steelcrafts. Includes leather axe head sheath. This was a formidable sidearm used by medieval knights, especially during the crusades.
