The A.G. Russell One Hand Knife™ has been our best selling knife since the first ones shipped in 1988. The handle, machined from a piece of solid stainless spring steel, works with the blade to create an unusual locking system. This locking system, and the location of a thumb stud on both sides of the blade, allows the knife to be closed or opened one handed using either hand.
The original knife sold from 1988 to 2002. In 2008, we introduced the knife with blades of ZDP-189 and CPM-154 made in the U.S.A. Unfortunately, the knives are so difficult to make that we are unable to produce more in the U.S.
We worked with one of the top manufacturers in Maniago, Italy to produce this knife again. They produce an exceptionally well made knife with few rejects.
While the knife measures only 3-7⁄8″ closed, there is a full 3-1⁄8″ of blade from the front of the handle to the tip of the blade and it measures nearly 7⁄8″ wide at the kick. It is unusual to get this much blade in this size handle.
The blade steel is Bohler N690 stainless at 58-60 Rc. Measures 3-7⁄8″ closed. Weighs 3.3 oz. Made in Maniago, Italy.
