The Federal 3rd Degree is a moderate Magnum load that is made for getting the best grouping and patterning out of a turkey load over a variable distance, so that if you know how your shotgun shoots with it, you can exponentially increase your chances of bagging the Tom that you want this turkey season.
The combination loading of 5, 6 and 7 shot with a flight controlled wad means you can mess around with chokes to dial in your favorite distance and behavior, and instantly calculate for any changes that occur to the characteristic head bobbing of the turkey, or distance and brush variances. You won’t have to sacrifice another imperfect shot, for fear of losing the bird or not killing it humanely. Furthermore, you can gain better control over multiple bird situations where you need to isolate a singular bird for shooting.
From 10 yards to 45+ this federal 3rd Degree is a legitimate answer for a question Turkey hunters have been struggling with for years.
Note: this is a 12 gauge 3” Magnum duplex load. It is suitable for use in firearms chambered for such rounds. It also has higher than average recoil properties.
