Description
This is a .30-06 Springfield standard barrel from a 1949 Model 70 rifle.
Bluing – Reblued – This barrel has been freshly reblued and is in near-perfect condition.
Metal – Overall, this barrel is in excellent condition. Under close examination, there are a very few, very small spots of freckling. These are not much larger than are a pinhead, and there is no other metal damage or defects.
Bore – 9/10 – The bore has no throat wear, but it does have just a few shallow pits, so we couldn’t rate it as a perfect bore. Borescope verified.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
