This 12 Gauge shell by Remington is loaded with 1 ⅛ ounces of 7.5 lead shot. 7.5 shot has very rightly earned the designation of “dove shot,” as it excels in taking the little birds down out of the air, but at .095” in diameter it doesn’t possess the oomph to aerosolize them at ranges around 30 yards. The result is an ammunition that’s perfect for taking smaller upland game birds including woodcock, quail, and grouse. You will also find this shot’s range and the spreading permitted by its pellets to be favorable to trap, skeet, and clay shooting as well, so you will be anything but short-handed if you arrive at the range armed only with them.
