Fiocchi Munizioni is such an old ammunition manufacturer that they had to weather the transition from muzzleloaders to breech-loading rifles. By perceiving where trends in shooting are moving toward, they are today one of Italy’s biggest ammunition companies. This 20 Gauge shell represents that foresight, where Fiocchi saw the need for a shotshell perfectly suited solely for competitive match shooting and provided exactly that.
This shell is loaded with one ounce of 8 shot, a shot size that can break clays under any conditions and going at any speed. It is hard to prevent pellet deformation in the barrel, resulting in clean, even spreads. The shell’s fine primer, sturdy casing, and clean burning propellant all add to its peak performance — it is favored by Olympic athletes the world over, and for very good reason. As Fiocchi’s product manager once put it: “To put regular gas in a Ferrari is a capital sin. It’s the same with putting mediocre ammunition in a top gun.”
