This Fiocchi shotshell is loaded with nine pellets of double-aught buck. Always a versatile choice, the .33” diameter pellets are as ready to take down a hefty ungulate as they are a formidable home intruder, making a shell like this as necessary to own as a shotgun itself. Fiocchi’s been in the business long enough to know that soft shot equals a poor pattern, and accordingly they’ve made this shot hard enough to keep its spherical shape intact until hurtling out of the muzzle at 200 fps faster than the speed of sound.
These shells’ Italy-based manufacturer made their hulls clear, so you’ll never accidentally mistake their shot for something you’d use on something inappropriate like upland game. Their wads also collapse in on themselves during ignition, lessening the brunt of the recoil you’ll receive while still creating a tight and effective pattern. Add in a non-corrosive primer and clean burning propellant, and you’ve got a shell you could fire for ages before fouling calls for a good cleaning.
