Description
This is a Featherweight barrel for a pre 64 Winchester model 70 rifle, chambered in .243 Winchester. This barrel is not stamped with a manufacture date and it uses the 7 ramp, indicating it was manufactured sometime between 1958 and the end of production in 1963.
Bluing and Metal – This bluing on this barrel is in excellent condition; it’s dark and almost without any wear, even at the muzzle. There is one small scratch (less than 1/4″ long) on the right side of the barrel, about midway along.
Bore – 8/10 – The bore is in very good condition, with just light throat wear and a few shallow pits near the muzzle. The crown is undamaged. Borescope verified.
