Federal Premium loads this Power-Shok label cartridge with a 300 grain jacketed soft point projectile. It’ll hit 1,850 fps upon clearing 24” barrel’s muzzle, at which rate it’s able to nail a 200-yard target with just over 1,300 ft lbs of energy. If that target happens to be a deer, the flat nose projectile (which is safe for lever-action rifles) will punch out a wide entry wound and then begin mushrooming outward as it inflicts a debilitating wound column.
