This .223 Remington ammunition from Hornady’s Varmint Express series is a highly effective antidote to your varmint problems. These cartridges feature the V-MAX polymer tipped hollow point bullet, which delivers excellent lethality against coyotes, nutria, and many other types of pests.
Each cartridge in this bulk priced case of 200 fires a 40-grain V-MAX at a muzzle velocity of 3,800 feet per second, producing flatter trajectories than is typical even for the fast-moving .223 Rem/5.56 NATO. This combination of a light bullet fired at a very high velocity is a key component of the load’s performance, as it encourages rapid fragmentation and energy transfer for a quick kill. The polymer tip serves to enhance the bullet’s ballistic coefficient as well as hastening the expansion process.
Hornady ammo is loaded in Grand Island, Nebraska using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. In business since the 1940s, Hornady produces ammo for hunting, competition, and defensive use.
