This 20-round box of 7.62x39mm ammunition allows you to take a dependability sample with your AKM clone or Sig 556R before committing to an entire case. Each round comprises a non-corrosive Berdan primer attached to a non-reloadable steel case which is topped off with a 124-grain FMJ-BT projectile. The bullet’s boat tail diverts air resistance behind the bullet allowing it to remain on target at relatively long distances. 124 grains is common to the caliber and will mirror the recoil impulse and ballistic path of most surplus loads as well as more contemporary hunting and defense rounds.
A light coat of polymer serves to protect the steel casings from moisture which could cause rust when the ammunition is in storage for long periods. Red Army Standard ammunition is sourced from various factories in former Soviet nations including Ukraine, Russia, and Bosnia. The ammo is manufactured on proven machinery which has supplied local military forces and utilizes traditional components which have been trusted to supply those nations’ armed forces.
