This 5.56x45mm (5.56 NATO) cartridge is the Ball, M193 variety, which was standardized and designated by the United States Army for field use with the M16A1 rifle in September, 1963. True to its designation, this cartridge features a 55 grain projectile with a lead alloy core and gilded metal jacket. Its metal jacket gives this bullet good penetrating potential, and it will permit you to fire for longer in between cleanings without having to clean your bore. That makes this round great for the range, where you’ll wish you had gotten more than 20 of them to shoot. Once that happens, look for our available package of 1,000, which will keep you happy for a much longer time.
This cartridge offers a non-corrosive Boxer primed brass casing, which is perfectly reloadable. Don’t let its geographic proximity to the former Soviet Union lead you to believe that Bosnia and Herzegovina is automatically going to deal in steel casings.
