Corbon Deep Penetrating “X”-panding handgun ammunition is a line featuring solid copper projectiles designed to penetrate heavier barriers like steel plates or auto glass and to perform with 100% weight retention after passing through such a barrier. While most modern hollow point bullets utilize serration cuts on the outside of the projectile’s jacket, Corbon makes these serration cuts from the inside of the jacket. The round expands into six sharp petals, opening up and creating a devastating wound channel.
As DPX hollow-point bullets are made of 100% copper, these are lead-free bullets and are legal in areas restricting or prohibiting the use of rounds containing lead. The ammunition casings are made of new brass and are loaded with Boxer primers. The muzzle velocity for this .380 ACP round is 1050 feet per second tested with a 2.5 inch barrel.
