This 338 Lapua cartridge from Hornady’s Match line of ammunition sports a 285 grain A-MAX projectile. The technology-laden bullet features an ultra low-drag polymer tip which raises its ballistic coefficient and balances its center of pressure relative to its center of gravity to grant itself optimal in-flight stability. The bullet has a secant ogive profile, which works to further lower its drag and increase its ballistic coefficient, as well as flatten its trajectory. Its swaged lead core provides uniform density for even greater accuracy, and its AMP jacket has virtually zero tolerance for concentricity.
