This 300 Win Mag cartridge by Hornady features the 180 grain GMX projectile. The GMX is a highly accurate bullet, owing to its long and sleek profile, cannelures and pressure relieving grooves, and pointed polymer tip. Upon impact said tip initiates rapid expansion up to 1.5 times the GMX’s original diameter, creating a wide and catastrophic wound channel within game. As it is made exclusively of copper alloy, this bullet exhibits superior weight retention during penetration, and it fouls extremely little and is totally California compliant as well.
As an Outfitter, this round’s high quality brass casing is plated with nickel. That gives it enhanced lubricity for smooth feeding and ejection, and also enables it to resist corrosion marvelously well. The round’s waterproofed primer and case mouth even further immunize against the deleterious effects of wet weather, making it the one to chamber when you’re venturing into parts unknown.
