While the 380 ACP has mostly been abandoned by law enforcement professionals throughout the world in favor of the more powerful 9mm, the smaller pistols that fire it will never let it go out of style among the concealed carry crowd. It is effective for self-defense, to be sure, and arguably the most influential cartridge in human history — had Archduke Franz Ferdinand not received one in his jugular, we can only imagine what the world would be like today.
This 380 ACP round by WOLF Performance Ammunition is for training, not instigating a World War. Its 92 grain projectile is on the lighter end of the spectrum for bullet weights available in its caliber, and as such provides manageable recoil conducive to extended periods of target practice. This bullet’s full metal jacket will keep your pistol’s bore relatively clean after firing several shots, and feeds reliably in magazine-fed weapons. This round’s bimetal casing and Berdan primer make it no good for handloading, but you’re bound to appreciate the pleasant effect those components have on these 1,680 rounds’ price tag.
