This cartridge’s 250 grain lead flat nose bullet has a lot going for it. Its 760 fps muzzle velocity (4” test barrel) gives it recoil and point of aim comparable to the classic 45 Colt load. Its absence of a copper jacket may allow more lead fouling, but also reduces the risk of splashback when you’re firing at something hard at close range. The LFN also has just the nose profile you want if you’re loading up a lever-action rifle.
