This 5.56×45 cartridge from Hornady’s Frontier line of ammunition sports a 63 grain projectile. The Match bullet owes a great deal of its heightened accuracy to its boat tail design, the tapered base of which conveys a higher ballistic coefficient for a flatter trajectory, higher retained downrange velocity, and less susceptibility to wind drift. The bullet’s hollow point means that it’s as practical for personal protection as it is training and target practice as well. With its versatility and quality, this is an all around great cartridge to have on hand.
This round is produced in the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant according to the same standards set forth by the US Military. It is composed of Hornady’s own high quality components including their select reloadable brass casing and Boxer primer, and has been subjected to the Nebraskan institution’s exacting quality assurance program.
