This 40 S&W cartridge from Winchester’s SuperClean NT line of ammunition features a jacketed flat point projectile. It’s an ideal bullet for training or target practice wherever air circulation may be inadequate or where ground/bullet trap contamination is of concern, because its core replaces toxic lead with innocuous tin. The bullet even further benefits its shooter by delivering the same point of impact as a traditional projectile, while at the same time lessening felt recoil by approximately 15 percent. It’s certainly accurate enough to do the job of letting you sharpen your skill with a handgun to boot.
This SuperClean NT round goes one step further to safeguard a shooter’s respiratory health with its special Boxer primer, which is devoid of lead, barium, or any other heavy metal which doesn’t do lungs any good. It achieves this without sacrificing reliable ignition, and along with a clean burning propellant charge keeps a pistol in better working order until the Hoppe’s can be uncapped. This round’s brass shell casing is new production and a great foundation for a handload.
