This 5.56 ammo is made in Brazil by CBC, the parent company of Magtech which is a well-known brand among high volume shooters. CBC sells the bulk of their 5.56×45 capacity to military forces all over the world but when they have excess capacity they send some of the extra military grade ammo up to the United States. This ammo is loaded with Boxer-primed brass cases that are sealed in the primer pocket to mitigate the chance of moisture ruining the powder if it comes in contact with water.
This ammo features 55 grain full metal jacket projectiles and is loaded to M193 military specifications. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or just starting out learning the art of the AR-15 this ammo is a great choice combining military grade reliability with a competitive price point.
Since this ammo is made on a military production line the case neck still shows the evidence that this brass went through the annealing process which is part of a visual inspection requirement to ensure that this brass will not be brittle after the final draw stroke that’s performed during the production process. Commercial ammo undergoes this same annealing process but then the brass is washed one final time for purely cosmetic reasons.
